Wine Appreciation this Summer...

One wine appreciation group continued meeting over the summer months with three very fun gatherings. 

Helen and Marty Dahl hosted a casual outdoor gathering, perfect for the warm weather in July, with summer patio wines paired with delicious appetizers and a meal of beef and chicken hamburger sliders.

In August, Nina and Roger Goodman wowed the group with a selection of BC wines made from unusual grape varieties. And again the dinner was exceptional with appetizers beautifully paired to the wines, two kinds of kebabs accompanied by salads, and an innovative and tasty “fruit pizza” dessert.

​Patty Matthews and Lynne Blair teamed up to host our last get-together in September with an evening featuring wines from Indigenous BC wineries. Dinner was locally caught barbequed salmon, salads, and - the show stopper - a chocolate and raspberry ganache tart which paired perfectly with the rich, plummy flavour of an Okanagan Cabernet Franc. 

Lots of laughter, great wine discoveries, and very memorable evenings were enjoyed by all.
