It was a perfect day for our first snowshoe outing of the season. The sun was shining brightly as we started, with some mist rolling in and out to provide texture including a faint "fog"bow. There is about a meter of snowbase including at least 20 cm of powder on the top. We followed a well trod track counter-clockwise around the meadows to the Paradise Creek bridge then broke trail further East along the creek to experience some virgin powder. Following a re-fueling break of yummy squares, courtesy of Teresa, we headed back to the bridge and then along the North side of the meadows to the parking. It was 5.3 km in 2hrs 3min for the 13 of us.
Let's hike in the snow.
