Probus Hikers Beating the Odds...

4/12/2023

We beat the odds by dodging the rain in the forecast today and had a dry and sometimes sunny hike through the Wildwood Forest.  Signs of spring are all around with the Indian Plum and Huckleberry starting to show their fresh green leaves.  And of course the ubiquitous skunk cabbage is already in flower.  Did you know that they create heat and in that way attract pollinators?

Hope to see many Probus Hikers out as spring weather improves.  Conditions permitting, perhaps a snowshoe hike next Wednesday.
