Hiking

Another fine season of Summer hiking is almost over. Since the last newsletter we've had 12 hikes and put100+ km on our boots. Along the way we've enjoyed some great scenery (some with smoke effects), picked a few berries, had a couple of dips in the river, enjoyed the Spring, Summer, and Fall flowers and foliage, generated some perspiration, sampled some beverages and ice cream, solved some world problems, and enjoyed the companionship of fellow hikers. Due to the hot weather and smoke most of our hikes were in the Cumberland and Comox Lake areas. Coming up it's planned to do a few in the Campbell River area and the islands.
