Helen Mackenzie - Battleship Lake Snowshoe - 20 Feb.

​Perfect snow conditions today - fresh soft snow on a firm base.  It was mostly overcast with light snow flurries but we did catch a few glimpses of the Sun and blue patches of sky.  We headed out to Helen Mackenzie first, then across the lake and over the ridge to Battleship.  We stopped at the narrows for lunch, then it was on down the lake and back to the meadows.  It was 7.6 km in 4 hrs 2 min for the 6 of us.
