We went out to Allen Lake on Mama Bear, Shaker, and Sunset, and looped back on Swamp Monster and Rugburn trails. The cloud ceiling was quite high so we had good views of the mountains and coast. No snow on the trail, but we did see several specimens of hair snow and lots of ice crystals in the gravel. The trails were in good shape showing little evidence of winter damage. Following the hike it was off to the Waverly for lunch where we snagged the fireplace tables again. It was 8.8 km in 3 hrs for the 8 of us.
