Thursday Morning Walking Group Leader - Brian Jackson
The group meets every week at 9:00 am, rain or shine, at the paved parking lot off Mansfield Crescent, Courtenay. The group, usually numbering between 12 and 18, breaks into smaller groups who walk the Courtenay Riverway Walk around the Airpark and out to the Millard Lookout at a variety of paces for about one hour. The maximum distance is 5 km but some groups shorten the route. Following the walk the group convenes for coffee and conversation at a nearby cafe.
New participants are always welcome. And because the group walks rain or shine, please keep your layers, seasonal footwear, and an umbrella handy.
