Those who join our kayaking group should be experienced paddlers with their own kayaks and the ability to transport their boats to the launch sites. Our group generally paddles on low-wind days near Kin Beach, Kye Bay and Goose Spit, in the Courtenay River and Campbell River Estuaries, and at McIver Lake, Comox Lake and Spider Lake.
We all paddle at our own risk. Kayakers should be able to wet-exit and self-rescue with the assistance of other paddlers. (Comox Valley Kayaks and Canoes offers rescue lessons should a group of paddlers like to learn or review skills together.)
