Springtime Snowshoeing

Comox-Strathcona and Glacier Probus snowshoe groups combined this week to enjoy a trek around the Helen-Mackenzie loop. Spring sunshine, reflected off the snow-clad landscape, made for a very comfortable day and the ten of us kept a leisurely pace with many stops to enjoy the changes in the landscape as the winter season ends in the high country. Soon the creeks will open and parts of our much-enjoyed trails will become impassable until late May.
