Snowshoe Season Start - The Ramparts

The Hiking/Snowshoe Group took part in our first, and hopefully not our last, snowshoe outing. It's been a warm start to the winter and so the usual white wonderland has not quite arrived, but nevertheless a few of us met at Ramparts parking area to be led by Hope (in more ways than one) on a snowshoe outing. 

We had not expected to see views or sun but, luckily, we saw both. We stopped at a nice lookout for snacks and then carried on to the trail where the little knoll behind us had picturesque pillows of snow.  Most of the trail was a bit cloddy. Had this been last week I would have said, “Enough”, but it's become apparent that we have to take this winter as it is, and adapt.  Back to hiking... for now!
