Paddlers Meander the Upper Puntledge River

Under clear blue skies, six paddlers set off from the Comox Dam Recreation Site for a leisurely journey along the Upper Puntledge River. The 3.5-kilometre route offered a tranquil escape, winding gently between forested shores and framed by dams at either end.

The calm freshwater was a refreshing change from our usual coastal outings, and the peaceful surroundings made for a perfect paddle. After the gear was packed away, a few adventurous souls capped off the day with a swim—an invigorating dip to celebrate a beautiful outing.
