November Beer Tasting

Nine Probus members gathered on November 18 to enjoy the warm hospitality of Rod and Evelyn Keith and to sample a thoughtful selection of Canadian ales.

Rod guided the group through the history and unique characteristics of six ales from British Columbia and Alberta, including Chestnut Ale, Blonde Ale, Hazy Pale Ale, Traditional Ale, and an IPA. Participants rated each beer on a score sheet, and—true to tradition—tastes and favourites varied widely across the group.

Delicious snacks and irresistible chocolate brownies added to the enjoyment, making for a relaxed and flavourful evening shared among friends.
