Morning Beach to Tree Island Hike

The tides and weather were favourable so a small group of us went to Denman Island to walk to Tree Island. The hike started with a long set of stairs down to Morning Beach and after that, it was a beach walk.

Although we anticipated having to take our shoes off and do a little wading through outflow streams from the tidal pools, there was no need to at all! We walked around Tree Island, keeping out of the Northwest winds as much as possible. There was talk about wild asparagus growing on the island. We found a bit, but not the large patch that used to be there.

​On our return we stopped in at Henry Bay, which is a lovely anchorage.
