"Harp Story" at January's General Meeting

One of our newer Probus members, Jan Pearce, was our General Meeting Speaker this month. Jan gave a fascinating slide show presentation, culminating in her playing a beautiful piece of music which dazzled us with the breadth of sounds a harp can produce, from rippling glissandos to quiet whispers, fingernail plucks, percussion and more.  As well, we learned about the harp's long history, with variations found across many cultures.
