Denman Island - Hiking to Boyle Point

Twelve active hikers from the Strathcona and Glacier Probus hiking groups enjoyed a spectacular 11-kilometre joint trek on Denman Island. After an easy trip together by carpool and ferry, we hit the trails to explore stunning views over Denman's southern cliffs , marvelling at the panoramic ocean lookouts and the iconic Chrome Island lighthouse. We returned - at quite a quick pace, I might add - along a beautiful high-bank coastal path that offered peekaboo ocean views through the trees along the way.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this collaborative walk, one of several over the years organized by our leader Anne, and Glacier's leader Bill. They give us the opportunity to create new friendships, swap entertaining life stories, and share our collective passion for exploring the great outdoors together.
