A Mediterranean Feast to Close the Season

Our final “Hands on Cooking” afternoon before the summer break was another triumph. We travelled the sun-drenched coastlines of the European Mediterranean through six spectacular, region-specific dishes.
Here is what our talented kitchen crew whipped up:
  • 🇪🇸 Spain: A rich, aromatic Paella.
  • 🇫🇷 France: Silky Crème Brûlée - and a rustic cherry Clafoutis.
  • 🇬🇷 Greece: A flavourful, layered Moussaka.
  • 🇭🇷 Croatia: A savoury zucchini and cheese mixture wrapped in flaky phyllo dough.
  • 🇮🇹 Italy: Arancini rice and cheese balls, perfectly deep-fried until golden and served with marinara sauce. 
The final spread was a Kodachrome feast for the senses, easily making it one of the most colourful, fragrant, and delicious take-away banquets of the entire year.

None of this would be possible without our incredible Hands on Cooking leadership. A huge thank you to Nina Goodman. From deep menu research and tireless recipe testing to grocery shopping, kitchen prep, and sharing expert cooking tips, her hard work kept us inspired all year. Simply brilliant!​ And another huge thank you to Susan Ward who joins the group every cooking day, points us in the right direction when navigating Nina's kitchen, and helps to keep everything running smoothly.
